The purpose of this project is to leverage individual and institutional experience in delivering the ACTA and AMBITION-cm short-course regimens for HIV-associated cryptococcal meningitis to facilitate widespread implementation across Botswana, Malawi, Uganda and Zimbabwe with the ultimate aim of reducing mortality from cryptococcal meningitis in real-world settings. SHARE-CM is co-funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

  • Improved in-country and international partnerships to support execution of HIV-associated fungal disease public health work.
  • Increased public awareness and knowledge of fungal diseases.
  • Increased provider awareness, knowledge and support for identifying and diagnosing fungal infections.
  • Improved treatment of HIV-associated fungal infections.
